Spring Classic – 2022 Season Opener

Schedule of Events

Friday, March 25th

8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. — Race teams arrive, pit move-in

Note: Absolutely NO motorhomes on the river side of the pits. All motorhomes must park on the land side. Next, absolutely NO parallel parking to the river of trailers. All trailers must park perpendicular to the river and on the land side must push back to the green belt as far as possible to keep the fire lane clear.

10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. — Registration/Check-in at Pavilion. All racers and team members must check-in to receive credentials and parking pass

Saturday, March 26th

7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. — Late registration/check-in at Pavilion

8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. — Driver's Meeting at Pavilion (mandatory for all driver's)

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. — Absolute Speed & Marine Spring Classic Presented by Nick Rose Insurance, Frederick & Son's Heating & Air, Brink Property Management, Race-Tec Pistons, Parker Oil, Hot Rods & Hobbies, Amsoil

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. — 2021 SCSC High Point Championship Awards Ceremony at Pavilion

Sunday, March 27th

7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. — Late registration/check-in at Pavilion

The event will be livestreamed on Surfrat YouTube

8:00 a.m. - 8:25 a.m. — Driver's Meeting at Pavilion (mandatory for all driver's)

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. — Absolute Speed & Marine Spring Classic Presented by Nick Rose Insurance, Frederick & Son's Heating & Air, Brink Property Management, Race-Tec Pistons, Parker Oil, Hot Rods & Hobbies, Amsoil

5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. — Awards Ceremony at Pavilion

Accepting Rule Change Proposals for 2022

December 5, 2021

Dec. 31 — Last day to submit proposals to the Rules Committee

Please submit any rule change proposals to the Rules Committee chair by December 31, 2021.

  • Proposals must be in writing and presented by an owner and/or driver from the class for which the rule is proposed. The only exception would be a safety rule that applies to multiple classes.
  • The proposal request must state the current rule and the proposed changed, please use this form. The rule books can be found on the SCSC website under Information>Forms & Rules.
  • Proposals will only be accepted from teams that have raced SCSC events within the past 12 months.

Rule change proposals received by December 31, 2021 will be reviewed by the SCSC Rules Committee and if deemed acceptable will be presented to the owners and drivers of that class for a vote.  A majority vote (51%) of the class for which the rule is proposed must be received for the rule to be passed and incorporated as a new rule for the upcoming 2022 season.
